Mi Ryung Song, Executive Director
Music and helping people are at the core of Mi Ryung's work. She led international activities, national initiatives, and local projects that connected people and resources to help create musical experiences with organizations such as the San Francisco Symphony, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, The Cleveland Orchestra, Aspen Music Festival and School, The Juilliard School, and League of American Orchestras. From artistic operations and partnership development to fundraising and strategic planning, Mi Ryung's background includes cross-organizational responsibilities that forge systems and people toward a common purpose. Through professional development programs managed by the League and EmcArts, she has training in adaptive leadership, group facilitation, special projects, and orchestra management. Mi Ryung is a lifelong tennis player, amateur rock climber, and cultural omnivore. She studied with Tim Day and earned her B.M. in flute performance at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
