Residency at DePauw University: visit #1

Decoda’s first visit to DePauw University as Artists-in-Residence, happening October 5-7, focuses on community engagement. Activities to include a seminar and workshop on interactive performances, an open rehearsal of the group's scripted interactive performance, and an interactive performance at a local elementary school.

Through engaged learning, Interactive Performances establish connections between the music and listeners, closing the gap between art and audience.
Location: Thompson Recital Hall at the Green Center for the Performing Arts,
605 S Locust St, Greencastle, IN 46135

Program to includes excerpts from Beethoven String Trio in G Major, Op. 9 No. 1,
ndrew Norman Sabina from "A Companion Guide to Rome," and Dohnanyi Romance from "Serenade".

Radio Interview with Dean Mark McCoy - time TBD

6:00-7:00PM - Interactive Performance Seminar
How and why to author a script that draws audience members in, creating a deeper connection to and understanding of the music.
